Rice Associates has been in existence for many years advising and assisting clients and businesses with accountancy, tax, audit and bookkeeping and payroll services. It was formed by David Rice back in 1984 and subsequently became a partnership when Sarah Wildey joined the practice. In 2009 the partnership was joined by Richard Somerville and Andrew Beet and the practice incorporated and became a company. Andrew and Richard had previously worked for a number of different accountancy firms within the Thames Valley area for the past 15 years or so building up a broad experience of both compliance and advisory knowledge in both tax and audit.
The practice deals mainly in the Owner Managed Business sector, from small to large companies, and also acts for a number of UK based subsidiaries of Australian, American, South Korean and Japanese companies distributing goods within Europe. Some of these clients are household names in the automotive and semi-conductor sectors. In addition to the above, the firm undertakes audits in specialist areas such as Charities and Pensions and regularly assists other professional firms with their audit planning and completion.
The practice complies with all regulatory requirements, including in respect of professional indemnity insurance, Heath and Safety and Environmental compliance. It has a good standing in the local professional sector and has in the past run a number of seminars to local professional firms on technical and tax issues.
